A container of pet food was shipped from Zhangjiagang port, East of Jiangsu province to Israel on Dec 21.

The container was filled with all kinds of pet snacks, such as dried sausage, chicken breast and jujube sausage. This was the first time for Zhangjiagang to export pet food to Israel.

In recent years, Zhangjiagang pet food products export value has been in a decline just like the overall situation in the world, and it is engaging in opening up a new market. By the end of 2017, Zhangjiagang finally gained access to Israeli market and the first batch of products were eventually exported.

According to Zhangjiagang Inspection and Quarantine Bureau, Pet food products will accept the extreme access requirements. Laws and regulations and technical trade measures are emerging to limit export products. Zhangjiagang Inspection and Quarantine Bureau make full use of the technological advantage to develop a quality management system and promote production quality to help product export to overseas countries.
