Covering an area of 22,000 square meters, Xingchengyuan Hotel is a three-star hotel located in the south gate of Zhangjiagang Free Trade Zone.

In 1992, the Houcheng town government invested 13 million yuan ($2.09 million) in building Xingchengyuan Hotel. Two years later, the hotel was recognized as a three-star travel hotel. In 1998, the hotel was transferred into a civil joint-stock enterprise. At the same time, on the basis of keeping the original architectural style, another 5 million yuan was invested to build a sauna center.

At present, the hotel has five villa-style buildings, 80 standard rooms and luxury suites, and 15 specialty restaurants that can accommodate 380 diners. The hotel also has a classical garden, gymnasium, billiard room, business center, leisure center, and other supporting facilities.

Since its opening, the hotel has successfully received provincial and ministerial leaders as well as all kinds of meetings.
