The city of Zhangjiagang announced the construction of a sports and culture center for workers, on June 12.

Located next to the city's scenic Shazhou lake, the center will cover some 55,000 square meters and provide a healthy environment for local workers to relax and enjoy their leisure time. Upon completion, the center will have a theater, an art training center and a gym.

Featuring training education, leisure entertainment and cultural performance, the center is expected to hold series of major cultural and sporting events in the future.
