A Yangtze River culture museum opened in Zhangjiagang of Jiangsu province on November 1. It is the first such museum focusing on Yangtze River culture collection, protection, research, exhibition and education.
With an area of 2,200 square meters, the museum includes five areas, themed “An Artistic River and Cradle of Culture,” “Understanding the History and Inheriting the Spirit,” “Inventions are the Light of Wisdom,” “Performing Arts” and “Creating a Brighter Future.”
History, religion, folk customs, literature, craft arts and performing arts of different ethnic groups living along the Yangtze River are displayed in the museum.
