Wuxi boasts a strong foundation in the traditional automotive industry, with over 400 enterprises above designated size involved in automotive and auto parts. Last year, new energy vehicles emerged as a prominent new growth point for the industry.

Wuxi supports areas like Jiangyin, Xishan, Huishan, Binhu, and Xinwu in building automotive and auto parts agglomeration zones. It will accelerate the construction of major innovation platforms such as the Tianjin University Wuxi Research Institute and the Advanced Internal Combustion Power National Key Laboratory (Wuxi Branch). Leveraging R&D and testing platforms like the National Quality Supervision and Testing Center for Fuel Injection System, it will continuously enhance the technical level of complete vehicles and key auto parts, aiming to build a domestically leading automotive and auto parts industrial cluster.
