To develop general artificial intelligence, Wuxi will rely on universities and research institutions such as Jiangnan University, Jiangnan Institute of Computing Technology, and Wuxi Institute of Advanced Technology, as well as leading enterprises, to build an efficient industry-university-research collaboration system. It will conduct research and development on key technologies such as core AI algorithms, big data processing and deep mining, computer vision, image recognition, and natural language processing. Support will be given to the National Supercomputing Center in Wuxi to build an intelligent supercomputing center, accelerate the construction of the Xuelang Data Computing Center and Mashan Computing Island, and support breakthroughs in distributed unstructured data management technology. The application of general AI in fields such as industrial internet, smart manufacturing, smart healthcare, and intelligent driving will be strengthened.
To develop the metaverse, Wuxi will step up efforts to make breakthroughs in key technologies like machine vision, brain-computer interfaces, neuromorphic computing, new displays, AR/VR, and holographic imaging. It will accelerate the R&D of core components and basic software such as high-performance dedicated virtual reality processing chips, operating systems, and development frameworks. It will rely on the Wuxi (National) Software Park, IoT-Park, Wuxi Studios, and Xuelang Town Future Park to attract leading enterprises in core software, intelligent chips, sensor equipment, brain-computer interfaces, and other fields. It will accelerate the development of key products like near-eye displays, interactive terminals, digital tools, and system integration solutions, and deepen application in industries, consumption, culture and tourism, education, healthcare, and governance.
