In the field of deep-sea equipment, Wuxi will focus on research such as deep-sea transportation safety, deep-sea communication and navigation, and deep-sea exploration and operations to implement major scientific and technological missions.
It will carry out applied development research on key technologies related to marine engineering equipment, building industrial chains for manned submersibles, marine space development equipment, deep-sea space stations, specialized marine engineering equipment, autonomous intelligent controllers, and power systems.
It will accelerate the construction of key platforms such as the Taihu Laboratory of Deepsea Technological Science and the CSSC Marine Detection Technology Industrial Park. It will promote the joint construction of the Deep-Sea Technology Science and Engineering College by Southeast University and the China Ship Scientific Research Center, build an integrated innovation system for key core technologies, and establish a domestically leading, world-class deep-sea equipment innovation highland.
