The CCTV Wuxi Film and Television Base, also known as the Three Kingdoms and Water Margin Theme Park) covers nearly 100 hectares and includes access to 200 hectares of Taihu Lake's water surface. For filming the TV series Tang Ming Huang, Romance of the Three Kingdoms, and Water Margin, CCTV developed three main scenic areas: Tang City, Three Kingdoms City, and Water Margin City.
The Wuxi Film and Television Base is known for its diverse performances. Each day, over 20 shows are held, featuring horse stunts, song and dance acts, and special effects demonstrations from films. These performances bring to life famous stories from historical novels like Romance of the Three Kingdoms and Water Margin. The impressive audiovisual elements deeply engage the audience, creating a memorable experience.
The Wuxi Film and Television Base is situated among hills and beside the lake, offering scenic views of Taihu Lake. To improve visitors’ experience, the base provides the "Cruise on Taihu Lake by Ancient Boat" service, giving guests the opportunity to enjoy boat rides on the lake and immerse themselves in its beautiful scenery and the charm of Jiangnan water towns.
