Centered on Qiu Chengdun's large tomb, a noble from the Warring States Period (475-221 BC), the Hongshan Site Museum combines immersive and static exhibits with advanced technologies, including naked-eye 3D and AR. This offers visitors a cultural experience that is tangible, auditory, and resonant.
The museum is divided into four sections: the Archaeology and Historical Cultural Display of the Hongshan Ruins, the Original Site of Qiu Chengdun Tomb, the Remains of Hongshan Yue Tomb, and a Temporary Exhibition Hall. It exhibits the Hongshan ruins, related archaeological findings, and features the reconstruction of the archaeological excavation scene.
The museum currently contains 1,173 cultural relics. It demonstrates the excellent celadon production techniques and jade micro-carving craftsmanship of the Wu and Yue regions. It reflects the burial hierarchy, rites, and music systems of the time and is of significant importance for studying the history of the Wu and Yue states during the Spring and Autumn Period (770-476 BC) and the Warring States Period (475-221 BC).
