Nanjing University of Science and Technology recently unveiled the College of Intelligent Science and Technology in Jiangyin, a county-level city in Wuxi.
The new college will prioritize localized undergraduate, master's, and doctoral programs. It plans to fully establish a doctoral program in the core discipline of Intelligent Science and Technology and to strengthen the development of an "Intelligent+" professional system. Key research focuses include intelligent algorithms and optimization, cross-disciplinary applications, and intelligent systems and engineering.
Lu Guibin, Party secretary of NJUST, expressed hope that, through the concerted efforts of faculty and students, the college will address core technologies and develop top-tier innovative talents. It aims to align closely with the industrial needs of Wuxi and Jiangyin, fostering ongoing growth in talent and technological progress.
According to the university's official website, NJUST is a national key university supervised by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. In 2018, it was designated as a collaborative institution supported jointly by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Ministry of Education, and Jiangsu province.
