An exchange conference between Jiangyin, a county-level city in Wuxi, Jiangsu province, and Bangladesh was held in Jiangyin on Sept 17.
The event was attended by over 80 participants, including officials and bank heads in Bangladesh as well as officials and representatives of enterprises in Jiangyin.
During the conference, attendees viewed a promotional video about Jiangyin's industrial structure and development while local company representatives emphasized the benefits of products made in Jiangyin for international markets.
Participants agreed that Jiangyin has strong expertise in advanced manufacturing and emerging industries, while Bangladesh offers plentiful labor and significant market potential. Both sides can further collaborate in sectors like textiles and garments, green energy, infrastructure, digital economy and technological innovation.
Jiangyin and Bangladesh have shared interests and numerous opportunities for collaboration across multiple sectors. In 2024, their trade volume hit $180 million, with several Jiangyin companies investing and setting up operations in Bangladesh, boosting local economy.
