An exhibition of paintings by Chinese and South Korean artists recently opened at the Yuantouzhu Scenic Area in Wuxi, East China's Jiangsu province.

South Korean artists focused on landscape creations that emphasized light, shadow, and detailed handling while Chinese artists made works using expressive painting styles. Both depicted a vibrant and colorful Wuxi.

Over 70 exquisite artworks inspired by the Taihu Lake scenery in Wuxi by these artists were exhibited on-site, including watercolor, oil painting, ink wash painting, and woodblock painting.

Tang Mansheng, a national first-class artist and chairman of the Wuxi Oil Painting Society, said the natural beauty and culture of Wuxi infused soul into the creations. A professor at Busan University of Foreign Studies noted that this event allowed him to feel the natural beauty and cultural charm of Wuxi, and that he looks forward to more collaborations in the future.

In the future, Wuxi is expected to attract more foreign artists, paving the way for broader international cultural and artistic exchanges.
