Yaohu Town, a scenic spot located in Yixing, a county-level city under the jurisdiction of Wuxi, started trial operations on July 1.
Boasting an investment of 13 billion yuan ($1.79 billion), the spot has emerged as a new landmark for Wuxi's tourism industry thanks to its unique Jiangnan style, abundant cultural experiences, and high-quality entertainment facilities.
Located within the Yangxian Ecotourism Resort, Yaohu Town features rolling mountains, clear waters, handmade pottery, vast stretches of bamboo forest, and refreshing tea.

During the trial operation period, art shows, hotels, catering services, and entertainment facilities will gradually open to tourists.
What can you expect in Yaohu Town?
For summer visitors, Zhushu Water Park is a must-visit spot, offering colorful slides, water rafting, and 30 others forms of water recreation.
The sightseeing train is also highly recommended. Spanning about 6.2 kilometers, the train track passes by elevated roads, tunnels, lakes, bamboo forests, and tea fields, making visitors feel as if they are in a Hayao Miyazaki animation.

Dragon-shaped watershows and single bamboo drifting, which requires a person to stand or sit on a single piece of bamboo while performing various balancing movements, are also not to be missed.
