Wuxi and Patras, Greece signed to become sisiter cities on March 10, 2015.
Located in northern Peloponnese, Patras is the capital of Achaea and the third largest city in Greece. It's 215 kilometers away from the western Athens, with an area of 333 square kilometers and a population of over 220,000. It is an important port city and gateway to Ionian Islands, the Balkans and Italy and is an industrial and commercial center for western Greece. It enjoys a long history and prosperous culture, education, tourism and service industries. It was "the European Capital of Culture" for the year 2006.
