Wuxi and San Antonio of the United States became sister cities on February 16, 2012.
Located in south-central Texas, San Antonio spans an area of 1,067 square kilometers, is the 3rd largest city in Texas. Its population accounts of 1.38 million, ranked the 2nd in Texas and the 7th in the United States.
Though it is a railway harbor connecting Mexico, the economy of San Antonio is diverse but sees quick development in five major sectors of healthcare, information technology, aerospace, exhibition and tour, and banking. Its manufacturing industry consists of food and metal processing, petroleum and gas drilling, chemistry and garments. Also, the headquarters of AT&T, the largest U.S. telecommunication firm is located in San Antonio.
