Alameda, the United State and Jiangyin signed to become sister cities on October 9, 2009.
Alameda (meaning aspen forest), being a fascinating pearl adjacent to the San Francisco Bay in California, America, was officially founded on December 27, 1884. Having a population of 77,000 and an overall area of 30 square kilometers, Alameda includes the Alameda Island and a part of Bay Farm Island. Being close to San Francisco, it has a convenient traffic and geographic location.
