Wuxi is one of the birthplaces of China's integrated circuit industry and has established a complete industrial system covering the entire industry chain, including design, manufacturing, packaging, and testing. It is home to leading companies such as SK Hynix and JCET Group. As of July 2025, the city had 340 IC enterprises and 16 listed IC companies with a total market value exceeding 320 billion yuan ($44.90 billion).
