As a "China Software City" focusing on the internet of things and platform software, Wuxi is leveraging its advantages in manufacturing and IoT development. It is continuously introducing software-related industrial policies, strengthening the cultivation of leading software companies and products, and improving the software industry ecosystem to promote the local software industry.
Building upon its strong foundation in new-generation information technology fields like integrated circuits, software, and IoT, as well as equipment manufacturing for network communications, navigation, and mapping, Wuxi is accelerating practices in emerging sectors like V2X and blockchain, and making early layouts for future industries such as artificial intelligence, the metaverse, and quantum computing. Currently, Wuxi is the only national blockchain innovation application pilot city in Jiangsu province, actively promoting demonstration applications of blockchain in key areas like finance and industry to foster collaborative development across the upstream and downstream of related industrial chains and between supply and demand.
Furthermore, Wuxi focuses on areas such as network security and data security, prioritizing the development of the Binhu Shanshui City Science and Education Industrial Park and the Huishan Software Park into national cybersecurity industrial parks. It is actively promoting the development of other parks like the Jiangsu IT Application Innovation Base and IoT Security Park and the Liangxi Cybersecurity Industrial Park. It is offering support to backbone enterprises such as Jiangnan Institute of Computing Technology, Aerospace Jiangnan Group, and Jiangsu IdeaBank Technology.
