Erquan roast chicken is a culinary landmark that embodies the flavor memories of generations of Wuxi residents and is deeply ingrained in Wuxi's regional culture, earning its reputation as an authentic taste of Wuxi.

How to prepare it?

The preparation method for the ingredient is highly careful. Only high-quality chickens, raised for 100 days and weighing no more than 1.5 kilograms, are selected to guarantee tender and juicy meat. These are paired with a secret mix of over a dozen traditional natural spices, then slow-braised and simmered for six days until the dish is complete. This results in chicken that shines with a jujube red glaze, with a rich aroma infused throughout every fiber of the meat.

How does it taste?

The texture is so soft that it easily separates from the bone, juicy and tender, with the cartilage softened enough to melt in your mouth. Its unique and sweet flavor lingers long after the last bite, making it even more memorable.
