Wuxi Shuofang Airport will launch a new round-trip flight connecting Wuxi in Jiangsu province with Vientiane, capital of Laos, beginning Sept 22.
The Wuxi – Vientiane route, designated with flight numbers AQ1233 and AQ1234, is scheduled to operate once weekly, specifically every Monday.
The outbound flight departs from Wuxi at 10:45 am, arriving in Vientiane at 1:45 pm, providing travelers with a convenient mid-morning departure and early afternoon arrival. The return flight commences from Vientiane at 2:45 pm, reaching Wuxi at 7:30 pm.
According to the flight operator 9Air, this marks its inaugural launch of the Wuxi – Vientiane route.
Recently, cities in the Yangtze River Delta have experienced growing trade with Laos, which is also a favored travel spot for Chinese tourists. Nonetheless, flight options have historically been limited, with only Changzhou Benniu International Airport in Jiangsu offering one or two flights weekly. Moving forward, the Wuxi – Vientiane route will see an increase to three flights per week.
