The Wuxi Shanshan Outlet Plaza in Huishan district, Wuxi, Jiangsu province, is currently under rapid development and construction.
Currently, the earthworks for the project are finished, the foundation slab is 80 percent complete, and the first-floor structure is 25 percent complete. The main building is expected to reach its full height by the end of this year.
The Wuxi Shanshan Outlet Plaza is a significant development project with an estimated total investment of approximately 2 billion yuan ($280.51 million). Covering a substantial area of about 186 mu (12.4 hectares), this shopping center is designed to be a comprehensive retail and entertainment destination.
It aims to provide a unique, family-friendly environment with an aviation-themed ambiance, complemented by dedicated pet-friendly spaces to cater to pet owners. Additionally, the development will feature immersive areas that enhance the visitor experience, making it a vibrant and versatile venue for both shopping and leisure activities.
At the entrance of the plaza, an expansive, lush lawn serves as an urban oasis. By morning, it transforms into a tranquil yoga space; during the afternoon, it becomes a lively family playground; in the evening, it shifts into an exhibition space for art installations, and during festivals, it switches into a runway show venue or concert site.
The approximately 3,200-square-meter children's playground is designed as an immersive space-themed environment, allowing kids to imagine themselves on a space base, launch site, alien planet, or space station. Through engaging interactive elements such as climbing, sliding, and role-playing activities, the playground incorporates aerospace concepts, fostering curiosity and a pioneering spirit in young minds.
