Yan'an, a city partnered with Wuxi in Jiangsu province for joint development, showed its support for Team Wuxi in Jiangyin, a county-level city in Wuxi, during the 11th round of the Jiangsu Football City League, known as Suchao, on Sept 6.
Before the match, over 100 drummers performed the Ansai waist-drum dance, a nationally recognized intangible cultural heritage from Yan'an, bringing lively energy to the event.
Li Hongxiang, general manager of Yan'an Cultural Development Group Co, said that in the past 28 years, Wuxi and Yan'an have developed a robust relationship through economic collaboration, talent exchanges, and cultural integration. Using the Suchao platform to introduce Yan'an to audiences is anticipated to boost further collaboration between the two regions in agriculture, culture, and tourism.
Outside the stadium at the fan market, Yan'an supported Team Wuxi by gifting nearly 10,000 apples. The display also featured the city's famous agricultural products, including red dates and millet.
The group also intends to open a flagship store in Huishan Ancient Town to explore new ways of combining agriculture, culture, and tourism. Additionally, they aim to evolve the Wuxi-Yan'an partnership from simply cultural exchange into broader industrial integration.
