Following the successful visits of two youth delegations from Wuxi, Jiangsu province, to Germany in July, young representatives from Bocholt, Wuxi's sister city in Germany, explored the Chinese city on Aug 25.
When the German youth arrived on this land, they were deeply fascinated by the diverse charm of Wuxi.
Luca Hufing said, "Wuxi is a beautiful city with very polite people. I really like the temple with the tower and the street food with a big variety of interesting shops. The streets are also very clean."
Jella Besten was captivated by the charm of the historic urban area's charm, "I really enjoy visiting Wuxi. The city is much bigger than I expected, and I especially like the old town with its beautiful temples, traditional buildings, and sometimes small gardens. The architecture in the old town is fascinating."
Mevan Khedir felt the city's diverse fusion, "Wuxi is a beautiful city that offers a lot of variety. From huge skyscrapers to traditional temples, you can find everything in Wuxi. I especially like the small street stalls. The city is also very clean, with no trash on the streets. The residents are kind and very helpful. The only problem is the language barrier between the residents and us."
As Wuxi and Bocholt mark the 40th anniversary of their friendship this year, the visit of these young people signifies not just the ongoing bond between the two cities but also the start of a new chapter. They are building a deeper friendship through youthful smiles and genuine conversations.
