A Wuxi-produced film exhibition was recently held at the China Cultural Center in Paris, France.
The video, The Second Spring Under the Heaven, featuring the cultural charm of Wuxi's springs, was played on loop during the exhibition's reception. Wuxi's intangible cultural heritage projects, such as purple clay teapots, clay figurines, and erhu (a two-stringed fiddle), were presented through physical displays, performances, and handicraft demonstrations.
Zhu Ying, deputy director of Wuxi government's publicity department, introduced the achievements of Wuxi as an important film and television production base in China and its prominent advantages in the digital film industry.
She mentioned Wuxi's ongoing efforts to promote the integration of culture, technology, and industry, aiming to build a national-level digital film hub. This film exhibition presented the cultural charm of Chinese cinema and Wuxi's unique cultural allure, allowing the French nationals to experience the artistic liveliness of Chinese cinema.

He noted that Chinese films have won international awards, and their quality continues to improve. He expresses optimism for the flourishing development of Chinese cinema.
As a special curated unit of the 16th Paris Chinese Film Festival, the Wuxi-produced film exhibition screened two representative films: the fantasy comedy blockbuster Monster Hunt 2 and the mythological epic Creation of the Gods: Kingdom of Storms.
These two works demonstrate the continuous improvement of China's film industrialization level and showcase the integration of traditional Chinese culture with modern film and television technology.
French students Sehili Selma and Dorosario Aidalbi were surprised and impressed by this event: the delicious food in Wuxi left a lasting impression; the fantastic traditional music and theatrical performances at the opening ceremony were captivating; and the rich and fascinating cultural displays were delightful.
They appreciated the humorous and unique style of the films screened. They expressed a strong interest in Wuxi's films and culture, anticipating more future opportunities for participation in Sino-French cultural exchanges.
