Taibo Temple Fair
The Taibo Temple Fair on the ninth day of the Chinese calendar every year is the first temple fair of the Chinese New Year in the Jiangnan region. The temple fair is a folk gathering event that combines sacrificial ceremonies, parades, intangible cultural heritage performances, agricultural markets, and cultural entertainment.
UNESCO recently included the Taibo Temple Fair among the Spring Festival's practices on the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
The 2025 edition not only features new international friend teams, hanfu teams, and other special parade groups but also includes traditional markets, lantern shows, water performances, molten iron fireworks, light shows, and other exciting activities.

Lingshan Mountain Spring Festival Temple Fair

Wuxi Library will host a bookish Chinese New Year market on Jan 27. The market will feature limited edition Spring Festival couplets for the Year of the Snake, writing "福" (good fortune) to give blessings, making lacquered fans, paper cutting, and more.
