Journalists from over 10 international media outlets including AFP and Azerbaijan State News Agency explored the music culture of Wuxi in Jiangsu province from Dec 9 to 11, visiting many of its music landmarks.
Among the places they visited were the former residence of Ah Bing (1893-1950), China's most famous erhu player, Wuxi Grand Theater, Wuxi Xiju Opera Museum, and the Yingyueli music-themed block at Huishan Ancient Town, where they learned about the city's practice in preserving music culture and seeking international exchanges and cooperation.

The journalists marveled at the richness of Wuxi's folk music culture and the beauty of its melodies. Yolanda from Germany expressed excitement at the opportunity to take photos showcasing the musical charm of Wuxi.
In recent years, Wuxi has been dedicated to building its "Music City" cultural brand, preserving its music history and culture while integrating traditional music with modern innovations. The city is home to an increasingly vibrant music scene and thriving music industry, while hosting frequent cultural exchanges through music.
