The seventh China International Import Expo is scheduled to take place in Shanghai between Nov 5 to 10. This year, the CIIE will gather 3,496 exhibitors from 129 countries and regions.
Businesses in Wuxi, Jiangsu province, has been well prepared for the expo. Among the Wuxi delegation, 42 percent are buyers in the technology and equipment sector, 24 percent are interested in the food and agricultural products sector, and 11 percent will set their eyes on the automotive sector.
In addition, other purchasers from the city will pay attention to sectors such as consumer goods, services trade, medical devices, and pharmaceuticals and healthcare.

"At the second CIIE, we signed a major deal with Caterpillar, and every year since then, we have increased our purchases," said Feng Tao, general manager of Jiangsu Communication Clean Energy Technology Co.
This year, buoyed by a twofold surge in orders from the African market, CCETC is poised to bolster its partnership with Caterpillar. Feng disclosed that the company intends to acquire gas generator sets valued at $3.5 million at the CIIE.
In addition, Wuxi's time-honored brands such as gourmet brand Mu Guiying and Yixing purple clay teapot brand Fan Family Teapot will make their debut at Jiangsu's culture exhibition zone during the seventh CIIE.
