Hairawn muhly, or pink muhly grass
Every year, as the autumn wind rises, patches of pink muhly grass sway gently, resembling mist and yarn. This natural spectacle consistently stirs up a "pink storm" of admiration among a circle of friends in Wuxi, infusing the autumn scenery with added romance.
The Flower Planet at Huacai Town, Huangtutang village, and Shuiyun Square at Gonghu Bay Wetland Park are highly recommended for this captivating display.

Sweet-scented osmanthus
In the Jiangnan region, the presence of sweet-scented osmanthus signifies an authentic autumn experience.
Huishan Ancient Town is permeated with the captivating sweet fragrance of osmanthus in this season even before visitors approach the trees. Several century-old osmanthus trees are planted in locations such as the Second Spring Under Heaven, Jichang Garden, and Huishan Mountain Temple.
Plum Garden hosts the largest number of osmanthus trees in Wuxi, with over 45 percent of them in full blossom.
In fact, there is no need for deliberate exploration. Along the main roads of the ancient urban area, such as Liangqing, Zhongshan, Nanhudadao, and Huhin, one can catch the sweet scent without even realizing it.
