The FIBA 3x3 World Tour Wuxi 2024 is set to kick off in the city's Huishan district on Oct 1, with 14 high-level teams from around the world participating.
Among the participating teams are international powerhouses such as Netherlands (Amsterdam), the 3×3 basketball champion at Paris 2024 Olympics, Austria (Vienna), the 2024 FIBA 3x3 Europe Cup champion, as well as Serbia (UB team), the 2023 FIBA 3x3 World Cup and the 2023 FIBA 3x3 World Tour Masters champion.
Teams from Shanghai (Chongming) and Wuxi (Wuxi Wenlv Huishan) will also compete.
Of particular note, four-time NBA All-Star player DeMarcus Cousins will make his international debut representing the Wuxi Wenlv Huishan team at the FIBA 3X3 event.
The 2024 "Wuxi Cup" 3x3 Basketball League finals will be held simultaneously at the same venue from Sept 30 to Oct 1.
In its second year in Wuxi, the 2024 FIBA 3x3 World Tour has garnered unanimous praise from players and fans, becoming a highlight of Wuxi's sports scene. The successful hosting of the event is expected to promote the high-quality development of sports events in Wuxi and showcase the city's vibrant spirit of sportsmanship.
