The Wuxi Symphony Orchestra presented a special concert dedicated to honoring Beethoven at the Wuxi Grand Theatre on Jan 19.
Conducted by Lin Daye, the orchestra's artistic director and chief conductor, this performance marked the first concert of the season launched by the Wuxi Symphony Orchestra. The event also featured acclaimed pianists, vocalists, and members of the Shanghai Opera House Chorus.
The concert showcased two masterpieces, namely the "Choral Fantasy in C Minor" and the "Symphony No. 9 in D Minor", and earned praise from the audience for its exceptional performance and professional standards.
Wuxi Symphony Orchestra, a burgeoning force in the Chinese music scene, made its official debut on Jan 1 with the 2024 New Year Concert. On Jan 12, they completed their inaugural performance in Shanghai. The orchestra is dedicated to actively engaging in cultural exchanges and continuously enhancing Wuxi's cultural identity.
