Wuxi Chinese National Industry and Commerce Museum

(chinadaily.com.cn)

Wuxi Chinese National Industry and Commerce Museum is built upon the old buildings of Maoxin Flour Factory. With an exhibition area of over 7,300 square meters, it is open to the public since 2007. The Maoxin Flour Factory, established in the 26th year of the reign of Emperor Guangxu in Qing Dynasty (1900), is one of the earliest enterprises founded by renowned brother entrepreneurs Rong Zongjing and Rong Desheng.

It is the quintessential epitome of the Chinese national commercial business and another successful example of the modern national industry. From its emergence to prosperity, decline, rebuilt and rebirth after the liberation of the country, it has undergone a tortuous path and witnessed the ups and downs of the Chinese national industry and commerce over the past century.
