Mashan-grown taro, featuring a soft taste and delightful aroma, can be made into both desserts and dishes.

The easiest way to prepare taro is steaming. After being steamed for 30 minutes, the taro can be dipped into sugar.

The most traditional way to eat taro in Wuxi is to boil it with dried sweet-scented osmanthus, while the most common way is to braise it with pork in brown sauce.
