Wuxi has been offering a face-scanning service for certain individuals to take the subway for free since July 7.
Those with disabilities, disabled soldiers and police officers, those who own a Jiangsu provincial certificate for donating blood, active soldiers, and firefighters are all eligible for the service.
The new technology will increase convenience for residents and represents another application of internet of things technology in the city.
