The first batch of Yangshan honey peaches, Wuxi's most famous indigenous fruit, have hit the market early this year and the two most famous types -- Baifeng Peach and Hujing Peach -- will be available starting in late-June and mid-July respectively, according to peach farmers in Yangshan town.
A total of 3,000 boxes of Yangshan honey peaches were packed and sent to other countries and regions such as Hong Kong, Macao and Singapore on June 15.
It has been several years since Yangshan town started selling honey peaches to Hong Kong. With the help of SF Express's cold chain logistics, Hong Kong residents have been able to receive their orders of the tasty summer fruit just one day after making an order.

Yangshan honey peaches have also become an increasingly common sight on e-commerce platforms. In 2019, Yangshan town earned a revenue of 430 million yuan ($61 million) from the sale of 22,600 tons of honey peaches, of which 150 million yuan came from e-commerce platforms.
Wuxi Taihu Yangshan Honey Peach Technology Co has signed a deal with local markets in Shenzhen to sell honey peaches from northern China this year. Sales from this collaboration is expected to reach 8 million yuan.
Dingdong Fresh, a fresh produce delivery platform and Chinese e-commerce giant JD.com will also promote the sales of Yangshan honey peaches.
Officials said the volume of Yangshan honey peaches is expected to increase by about 10 percent this year. Exports of these peaches are expected to exceed 4 million yuan.
