Construction started on the global research and development (R&D) center of CHISON Medical Technologies Co Ltd in Wuxi National Hi-tech District (WND) on May 22.
In addition, the roof of the company's newly built intelligent manufacturing base was sealed recently. After the center goes into operation, the R&D and production base will focus on the development of ultrasound diagnostic equipment.
The company said it will increase R&D investment to make breakthroughs in key technologies such as artificial intelligence, internet of things and 5G telemedicine, making contributions to achieving independent control of domestic medical equipment.
The company, located in WND, is one of the world's leading manufacturers of ultrasound systems. It has over 300 independent intellectual property rights, including more than 20 intellectual property rights and 100 invention patents in Europe and the United States. CHISON was the first company in Wuxi to be listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange's sci-tech innovation board in 2019.
