With the calendar having turned its pages to May, mulberries in Wuxi are now in season, bringing back sweet juicy childhood memories for many in the city.
With the help of a gentle spring breeze and warm sunshine, bunches of mulberries enchant with glittering colors of red, dark purple and black, as if inviting us to pick and sample them at any time.
The berries are sweet in taste and are good for the liver and kidney, in addition to helping improve blood circulation. They have also been shown to help improve skin elasticity and firmness.
The picking season will last until the end of May. Anyone interested can visit the recommended farms below in Wuxi, Jiangyin, and Yixing.
