Many Wuxi companies are making efforts to support Huoshenshan (Fire God Mountain) Hospital, which was recently built to treat patients infected by the novel coronavirus pneumonia (COVID-19) in Wuhan, the epicenter of the outbreak.

Wuxi Bewis Sensing Technology, a leading inertia sensor supplier, has been working to produce meteorological sensors for the hospital since Jan 25.

The meteorological station is capable of constantly monitoring the construction site and collecting meteorological data including temperature, wind direction, wind speed, air pressure, and precipitation. This can help it provide weather forecasts to assist with the construction process.

In addition, the company has also provided tilt sensors for United Imaging, a Shanghai-based medical product company that has sent over 100 pieces of medical equipment to help frontline hospitals in the fight against novel coronavirus pneumonia (COVID-19) in Wuhan.

Wuxi, as a hub for internet of things (IoT) technology, has also sent many IoT companies to assist Huoshenshan Hospital. The hospital, which was completed within 10 days, demonstrated China's efficiency and determination to defeat the epidemic.
