Dah Chong Hong Holdings Limited, a Hong Kong-based integrated motor and consumer products distribution company, signed to invest $1.5 billion in a food processing and transportation industrial park in Jiangyin, East China's Wuxi city, on Jan 25.
The project will cover an area of 819 mu (54.6 hectares) in the Jiangyin Free Trade Zone and the Jiangyin Lingang Economic Development Zone, and will be the company's food processing and transportation center in the Yangtze River Delta region.
The park will be made up of a bonded warehouse, a food packaging center, a food processing center and a cold chain logistics center and work with countries and regions involved in the Belt and Road Initiative for beef processing, as well as central kitchen and original equipment manufacturing.
Chen Jinhu, Party secretary of Jiangyin, attended the signing ceremony and said that the city government will provide an advantageous investment environment and support the project.
