The city of Wuxi in Jiangsu province has further expanded its advantage in the promising Internet of Things (IoT) industry after sealing a deal with China's leading cloud computing service provider Inspur to build big data R&D bases in Wuxi.
According to the agreement between the city's government and the company, a big data industry park, research institute and trading center along with various organizations responsible for back-up force cultivation will be settled in Wuxi. Total value of these projects adds up to 5.5 billion yuan ($800 million).
Party secretary of the city Li Xiaomin at the signing ceremony pledged strong support for the construction of the big data projects executed by Inspur. He believed the efforts made by the top cloud computing service provider will make a big influence on the city's industry optimization.
Sun Pishu, president and CEO of Inspur, expressed sincere appreciation for the city's supreme priority on the big data projects. He expected further cooperation with the city to together build a big data industry cluster.
As the country's leading cloud computing and big data service provider, Inspur has business partnerships with 109 provinces and cities in China. Wuxi, already a power force in the field of smart city construction, hopes to further expand its advantage all around the country.
