The center is established by Wuxi Test, one of the major quality testing units in China and the most comprehensive legal quality inspection agency in Wuxi.
In its 11,000-square-meter planned lab, aside from more than 26 million yuan ($3,700,000) spent on basic testing equipment, an extra 50 million yuan will be used to purchase large-scale cutting-edge instruments, including Laser scanners, industrial CT scanners, fatigue testing machines and direct-reading spectrometers.
The center aims to be an international authority in quality control and technical evaluation in the field of additive manufacturing, according to the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the Republic of China.
