Wuxi is set to host this year's Internet of Things expo, which has been given a national level upgrade this year, boosting the profile of the event and attracting some 80,000 professionals.
The seventh China International Internet of Things Expo will be held at the Wuxi Taihu International Expo Center in Taihu New City from Oct 27 to 29.
The expo has been an annual event since 2010, and has attracted more than 1,000 exhibitors and 100,000 visitors, as well as more than 50 Global Fortune 500 companies over the years.
A series of summit forums will be held to discuss technology application and exchange, the latest trends, innovation and investment.
The expo will also be home to all the latest products in intelligent logistics, medical treatment, finance and smart home, cloud computing, mobile Internet, sensors and radio frequency identification devices (RFID).
Organizers expect the now national level event to boost the development of Internet of Things across the country, and enhance the country's international influence in the field.
Wuxi's Internet of Things industry has been one of the cornerstones of the city's recent economic development. Sales revenue from Internet of Things sales has increased by 30 percent of the past three years. Wuxi is the home to the only national sensing innovation demonstration park in China, with 17 national-level application demonstration projects.
