A national products accreditation base is scheduled to open in Wuxi National Hi-tech District.
Wei Duo, Party chief of Wuxi National Hi-tech District, met with a delegation headed by Pei Zhiliang, director of the Wuxi bureau of quality and technical supervision, on Sept 14 and the two officials jointly attended the signing ceremony of the national products accreditation base program.
Wei said the accreditation base shall lay a solid foundation to develop Wuxi's testing industry, which will help to nurture emerging industries in the area. He assured reporters that the district will fully support the construction of the base.
Pei said the Solar Photovoltaic Products Supervision and Inspection Center established in iPark in the area earlier has performed extremely well since its creation thanks to the vigorous support from the local government, and he pledged to work to speed up the construction of the accreditation base.
The new base is sure to make a great contribution to high-end industrial accumulation in the area, he added.
The national products accreditation base program is composed of three national supervision and inspection centers dedicated to solar photovoltaic products, additive manufacturing products and energy storage products respectively. The total cost of the project is estimated at 220 million yuan ($33 million).
