Yunfu Group Innovation Space, located on Zhongshan Road in downtown Wuxi, will host a Startup Salad event from March 18 to 20 to offer startup companies a platform to demonstrate their projects and share resources.
Startup Salad is a global startup community launched by Tencent Open Platform, with events having been hosted in 26 cities helping to make startups' fresh ideas come true.
Many entrepreneurship projects have already attracted angel investment as a result of the events, some of which have attracted more than 100 million yuan ($15.3 million).
From March 18, startups can gather at Yunfu Innovation Space to pitch ideas, meet industry insiders, build networks, and test business models.
Participants can range from an active thinker with brilliant ideas to industrial elites skilled in designing, programming and product promotion.
On the event's first night, participants will introduce themselves and their ideas in one minute, after which cooperative teams will be organized. The second day involves brainstorm activities, user surveys and a product prototype production session, where group mentors will give suggestions. Every group will put forward a 10-minute presentation on the last day and receive feedback from judges and investors.
On average, about 20 percent of Startup Salad projects receive angel-investment within the first three months of their founding.
