According to the latest cultural development indexes in China, Wuxi ranked 16th among 288 Chinese cities at prefecture level and above, reported the Wuxi Daily.
Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Hangzhou, Guangzhou, Nanjing, Ningbo, Jiaxing, Suzhou and Zhuhai were the top 10 cities.
The research was conducted by a panel of 40 experts on the basis of over 100,000 surveys within six months. The development indexes covered cities, cultural industry parks and cultural enterprises.
The report aimed to provide corresponding strategic forecasts, empirical analyses and policy proposals based on rankings of leading cultural cities, cultural industry parks and cultural enterprises.
