The seventh Chinese International Renewable Energy Conference and Exhibition (CREC 2015) is being held from Nov 5 to 7 in Wuxi, according to people.com.cn.
The annual gala is hosted by the National Energy Administration, the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade and the People's Government of Jiangsu Province.
CREC 2015, with the theme "focus on the 13th Five-Year Plan, usher in a new era of energy", is composed of expos and forums.
The expos display photovoltaic products, solar-thermal applications, energy-saving building devices, energy accumulation products and other new technologies and applications.
The forums revolve around national policy orientation and power plant quality improvement. The principal forum is titled "Global Renewable Energy Industry Summit--International City Mayors' Forum for Renewable Energy".
This year, many representatives from the Belt and Road countries are attending the event. The organizing committee invited some 100 representatives of new energy firms from 30 international bodies and countries, including India, Australia, South Korea, the United Arab Emirates, the US and Brazil.
Wuxi vice-Mayor Wang Jinjian said that Wuxi has attracted investment of over 50 billion yuan ($7.87 billion) through the annual activity over the past six years.
From January to August, Wuxi exported $1.14 billion worth of photovoltaic products and wind energy products having a value of $180 million.
During the 13th Five-Year Plan (2016-2020), Wuxi will emphasize new energy and unveil more supportive policies.
