Teams from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology-China Innovation and Entrepreneurship Forum (MIT-CHIEF) sought investment opportunities in Xishan district in the eastern Wuxi recently, reported gmw.com.
The teams inspected Chuangrong Mansion in the central business districts, the Sci-Tech Business Incubation Park in Xishan Economic and Technological Development Zone and V-Park.
Xishan has cooperated with MIT for four years in a row. Their last cooperation platform was titled a "National Technology Transfer Center" by the Ministry of Science and Technology.
Deng Jiahong, minister of the district's organization department, said that 15 businesses in Xishan have joined hands with MIT to provide technology consulting and research.
Deng added that this cooperation will boost technological innovation and entrepreneurship and invigorate the economy in Xishan.
At the meeting, both sides inked three agreements of intent.
