Wuxi's modern service industry attracted much attention at the Wuxi (Shanghai) Modern Service Industry Cooperation Symposium held in Shanghai on June 30.
Wuxi in Jiangsu province has taken a series of measures to accelerate the development of modern service industry. "Wuxi promotes the development of modern service industry cluster, aiming to build its service-oriented economy. The service industry's added value in Wuxi is expected to account for more than 47.5 percent of the total output value in the city in 2017", said Wang Jinjian, deputy mayor of Wuxi.
At the symposium, deals for a total of 19 projects worth $1.5 billion were signed. The projects involve such industries as finance, outsourcing service, e-commerce and tourism.
