Schaeffler establishes Greater China Central Logistics Center in Taicang
The inauguration ceremony of the Schaeffler Greater China Central Logistics Center was officially held on Nov 25 in Taicang, a county-level city under the jurisdiction of Suzhou in Jiangsu province.
The new center, covering 28,300 square meters, features a high level of intelligence and excellent operational efficiency. It will serve as Schaeffler's key logistics hub in China and is expected to boost Taicang's supporting services for high-end manufacturing.
Georg F. W. Schaeffler, shareholder and Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Schaeffler Group, Klaus Rosenfeld, CEO of the Schaeffler Group, and Dr Yilin Zhang, CEO of Schaeffler China, attended the event.
In their remarks, Klaus Rosenfeld and Dr Yilin Zhang both hailed the stability, openness, and reliability of the investment environment in Taicang, looking forward to strengthened collaborations with the city.
Germany-headquartered Schaeffler Group, a global leader in motion technology, has long been a trustworthy and mutually-beneficial partner of Taicang since it set foot in the city in 1995. Over the past three decades, Schaeffler has increased its capitals in Taicang 13 times and the Taicang factory has become the group's largest manufacturing base in China and a core stronghold for its new energy business.
