After upgrading its bus card readers, QR code scanners, and payment systems, Taicang has achieved seamless connection with Shanghai, Suzhou, and Changzhou via a single QR code for public transport.

Shanghai citizens can now enjoy full access to Taicang's entire bus network simply by scanning the Shanghai Public Transport QR Code. Meanwhile, commuters from Changzhou and Suzhou can board buses in Taicang using the Ministry-of-Transport-standardized QR codes for public transportation issued by their local authorities.

Taicang residents are also benefiting from this convenient intercity transportation service. They can apply for the standardized QR codes on the "Su Zhou Dao" mobile app, allowing them to ride buses not only in Taicang but also in Shanghai, Changzhou, and Suzhou using the same code.

The connectivity between Taicang and Shanghai's rail transit systems is currently being strengthened, with plans to begin offering intercity metro travel in the near future.
