Taicang's lifelike humanoid robots bring history to life at World Robot Conference
At the recent World Robot Conference in Beijing, humanoid robots with hyper-realistic silicone skins, developed by Taicang-based Jiangsu Yunmu Intelligent Manufacturing Technology, drew continuous crowds.

Among them was "Confucius", a replica of one of ancient China's greatest philosophers. Clad in traditional attire, it recited classical poems, sparking great interest among attendees.
The robotic Confucius is China's first fully bionic-skinned robot. With a 26-degree-of-freedom face, natural micro-expressions, and a binocular RGB camera, it can blink, turn its head, and move its lips. It is multilingual, capable of guided tours and open-ended dialogue.
The exhibition also featured other culturally significant replicas, including Emperor Taizong of the Tang Dynasty (618-907), the visionary ruler of China's golden age, and Qu Yuan, the revered patriotic poet of the Warring States Period (475-221 BC).
As one of China's first companies to mass-produce lifelike humanoid robots, Yunmu specializes in robotic platforms, key components, core software, and integrated solutions. Its portfolio includes over 40 cultural products, such as Snow White and Tang Dynasty poet Li Bai — the largest such lineup domestically. These robots serve diverse applications, from industry and education to research and specialized fields.
